Initial considerations

I think I wanted to be a teacher all my life: since I was a child when somebody asked me about my future, I had very clear ideas about it. Only in the moment of going to university, I must do an important choice, if I prepare to be a teacher for your students or to join a degree in History, that was my passion, in order to become a Secondary Education teacher. I went for the second one and I must say that I don´t regret this.

One of the good things about being a Secondary Education teacher is that you deal with students who have their own opinions, who know or are trying to know, what do they want to achieve in their lives. I like to work with them and, even when the relationship with all of them is not the same, at the end of the day I still being in contact with some of them.

Another aspect of being a teacher is the change of heart experienced by this profession. Nowadays we feel the need of adopting the last technologies and that forces us to keep studying in order to control the new tools we can make use of. It is demanding, but the rewards offered for this compensate for all the hours spent, for instance, in front of a computer trying to learn new things.
