I have made several attempts with them and, the one I prefer, is Symbaloo, not only for my students but also for myself, to keep materials I come across in an organised way. I have also used others such as Padlet for punctual activities or Pinterest for images, but I prefer Symbaloo because I can create direct links to the things I want and, in addition to this, I can indicate, with colours, the kind of resource it is. I can use it to share with other teachers and I use with my students too: I provided them with the link to the collection created for them and I put it in their course in the school platform, I think it is an advisable way of giving them some resources we know, instead of leaving it open to them because they could use any source, and not always the most advisable This is the link to this pannel  Contemporary History resources

Teachers on Twitter

I read the article of The Guardian and I can´t agree more than that. I feel my own experience on Twitter reflected there. I think it is a really useful tool that puts you in contact with a lot of interesting and generous people. Thanks to that, I came across different materials that nowadays are the ones I use regularly and it offers me the possibility of integrating new elements in my teaching practice. In my view, the most important thing is to create a net of interesting people and don´t fell in some discussions that don´t go anywhere. Anyway, when one follows the right people the risk of entering controversial discussions is reduced because the majority of us focus on our job. The advice given at the end of the article is simple but essential to have enriching participation in this social network.

Importance of a PLN

I consider that a PLN can be of paramount importance in our teaching practice. Not only can it help to show different ways of working but it also allows us to share materials with others. There are different ways of creating this PLN. Some people prefer to join people and talk to them. For this purpose, the Internet offers a wide range of resources to be in contact with others. Another possibility is to join different nets in which we can share our experiences and materials in a more simple way, using platforms where we incorporate our materials and using social nets in order to communicate with others when we create something new, at the same time that thanks to them we can know about others contributions. In my personal case, I tend to use the second system: I follow a series of interesting people on Twitter and Facebook and I upload my materials to sites like Slideshare and communicate to others when I do it (I must admit that I haven´t created new things recently). Formal, non-formal, informal

In my view, the three forms of education are equally valid and, what is more, can complement one another.  One of the great things about the new education is that any form of practice can be valid in order to obtain knowledge. I identify myself in the three kinds of education: I received a traditional formation and I did a degree as part of my formal education. Then, aiming at learning languages, I enrolled in an academy for learning English, in a non-formal context. Finally, I spend a lot of hours in front of the computer doing MOOC and NOOC courses in order to learn about other themes and disciplines.  All in all, I consider that any form of education will be valid to achieve success in our development as professionals and people.

Initial considerations

I think I wanted to be a teacher all my life: since I was a child when somebody asked me about my future, I had very clear ideas about it. Only in the moment of going to university, I must do an important choice, if I prepare to be a teacher for your students or to join a degree in History, that was my passion, in order to become a Secondary Education teacher. I went for the second one and I must say that I don´t regret this. One of the good things about being a Secondary Education teacher is that you deal with students who have their own opinions, who know or are trying to know, what do they want to achieve in their lives. I like to work with them and, even when the relationship with all of them is not the same, at the end of the day I still being in contact with some of them. Another aspect of being a teacher is the change of heart experienced by this profession. Nowadays we feel the need of adopting the last technologies and that forces us to keep studying in order to contr
